Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CareersToApply (the "Platform"), including our website, job board, opportunities board, blog, and core services. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on CareersToApply. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide during registration is accurate and truthful.

When you register, you may create an account as a job seeker or an employer. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

Users may submit content to the Platform, including job listings, opportunity listings, blog posts, logos, cover images, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:

• Confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights.
• Confirm that all information in job and opportunity listings — including deadlines, compensation, and application instructions — is accurate and not misleading.
• Grant CareersToApply a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your User Content on the Platform for as long as it remains published.
• Remain solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your User Content.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms, is fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

When using CareersToApply, you agree not to:

• Post fraudulent, fake, or misleading job or opportunity listings, including "pay-to-apply" schemes or listings intended to collect personal information under false pretenses.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any company or organization.
• Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or to the Platform's systems.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the Platform without our prior written consent.
• Use the Platform to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications.

CareersToApply offers optional paid career support services, including CV writing, application letter writing, LinkedIn profile optimization, interview preparation, and scholarship/fellowship application support ("Core Services"). Core Services are arranged directly with our team via the Contact page and are subject to any separate terms, pricing, and delivery timelines communicated to you at the time of engagement. These Terms govern your general use of the Platform; specific service terms will be confirmed with you individually before any payment is made.

Job and opportunity listings may include external application links or contact details provided by employers and organizations. CareersToApply is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites or the entities behind these listings. You interact with external applications and third parties at your own discretion and risk.

The CareersToApply name, logo, website design, and underlying software are the property of CareersToApply and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our prior written permission. This does not affect your ownership of the User Content you submit, subject to the license granted in Section 4.

CareersToApply is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take reasonable steps to review listings, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legitimacy of any job, opportunity, or blog content posted by users, and we do not guarantee employment or admission outcomes of any kind. You are responsible for exercising your own judgment and due diligence before applying to any listing or engaging with any employer or organization found on the Platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareersToApply and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, loss of data, or damages resulting from your interactions with other users, employers, or organizations found through the Platform.

You may stop using CareersToApply and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that harms the Platform or its users.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
